#GivingTuesday – November 30, 2022
Avenues Supported Living Services, Inc. is participating in #GivingTuesday this November 30, 2021.
For those that are unaware of this day, #GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. It falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving.
As a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, fundraising is an essential role in the growth of the organization. Two years ago, we started our “Fuel for Volunteers” campaign and set a goal to raise $5,000. Last year we raised $2,500 ONLINE through Facebook and on our crowdfunding page. THIS YEAR WE ARE HOPING TO DOUBLE ONLINE GIVING EFFORT. Funds received for #GivingTuesday go to fill gaps in funding the state does not provide for costs associated with Fuel and Travel for Avenues SLS’ daily drives through SCV neighborhoods to post flyers daily and drive back to the same location the following week to pick-up donation related to Avenues SLS’ year-round CLOTHING DRIVE. .
You can help us reach our goal by Texting the word Fuel to 71777 You will receive a link where you can scroll down the page to see all of our community volunteers and people we support at Avenues SLS.
