Scott Shepard, M.A., Ed.
Executive Director, Avenues SLS
Scott has been a part-time faculty at CSU Northridge for 35 years, teaching courses on Positive Behavior Support and Functional Behavior Assessment, and Issues related to Transition for Individuals with disabilities. He serves on the Santa Clarita Mayor’s Committee for Employment of Individuals with Disabilities, and is an Honorary Board Member of Cal-TASH. Scott’s main job is coordinating and providing services for adults with IDD through Avenues SLS, a non-profit which provides supported living and individualized day services in the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valley areas. He is also a National educator/presenter on topics related to Positive Behavior Support, Employment, Supported Living and Person-centered services, and Issues Related to Transition.
Lori Shepard, M.S., ATHS
Lori has spent 35 years providing support to people in community based settings. In addition to Avenues SLS, she is also a Consultant in Assistive Technology, helping students, adults and seniors to communicate, access their education, control their environment and participate in all life has to offer with a focus on aging and end-of-life planning for people with developmental disabilities. Lori represents the interest of one of the people supported by Avenues SLS as a board member of that person’s condo associations.
